Essential requirements:

  • Academic Background: University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent in different jurisdictions.
  • Previous experience: Proven experience in international accounting and taxation, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Sectoral: Experience in working with companies in various sectors, such as manufacturing, services, technology and commerce.
  • International Accounting Standards: In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • International Tax Regulations: Familiarity with tax laws in different regions (Europe, Asia, America and Africa), including double taxation treaties.
  • Transfer Pricing: Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and practices between companies of the same group in different jurisdictions.
  • Financial Consolidation: Ability to prepare consolidated financial statements of multinational companies.
  • Software Contable: Proficiency in the use of accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent.
  • Office tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Financial Management Systems: Experience with ERP systems(Enterprise Resource Planning) and financial management tools.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and tax authorities in multiple countries.
  • Languages: Fluency in at least two languages, including English, and preferably other languages relevant to the regions of operation (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.).
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyse financial statements, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Tax planning: Ability to develop and execute tax planning strategies that optimise the tax burden and comply with local and international laws.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
  • Organisation and Detail: Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organised financial records.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations in the different jurisdictions.
  • Tax audits: Experience in preparing and managing tax audits and responding to queries from tax authorities.
  • Integrity: Maintain high standards of professional ethics and confidentiality in the handling of financial information.
  • Commitment: Commitment to continuous improvement and constant learning in a dynamic working environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in tax and accounting regulations, as well as to different cultures and business environments.
  • Time availability: Willingness to work flexible hours and handle different time zones if necessary.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead projects and coordinate with external consultants when necessary.
